Apple at Enterprise Level

The last year has been kinda tough. While I now spend virtually every waking moment in front of some sort of monitor or display unit, I'm not really, or at least I haven't officially trained as an IT specialist. Since 2008 my focus has been on Unix, primarily OSX, but a little Linux too. At my place of work, we decided to move every lab and studio over to OSX and with that came the need for a managed solution, system imaging, mass deployment, user directories, dual boot with XP and integration with Microsoft Active Directory. It's a fairly significant undertaking.

One year in and there are a number of tweaks to be made, but we're very happy with the development. I had always planned to post details of the various techniques, tricks and pitfalls that you inevitably encounter. Realistically however there really isn't a need. Clealry there are numerous well established and informed online resources and fora dedicated to the Mac.

Here's a short list of the sites I found particulalrly helpful - in no particular order
