Developed at the Centre for Digital Music, Queen Mary, University of London, Sonic Visualiser (Linux, OSX & Windows) allows the user to view and analyse audio signals/data in great detail. Very impressive but processor intensive - this type of analysis is complex so patience is advised. Videos of seminars held at the Centre are available to view here, very interesting.
