NTI Talkbox

The NTI Talkbox is designed to simplify and improve the accuracy of equalising microphones on stage or in rooms. The well known "one , two, test, one, two, check..." (where engineers are listening for level, sibilance and tone) can be less than accurate due to the fact that voices naturally tend to differ. The TalkBox attempts to overcome these inaccuracies by providing speech signals to the microphone at calibrated levels. The engineer can then set the level without the need for asking someone to repeat the phrase over and over.

EASERA SysTune

AFMG, developers of EASE and EASERA, have announced the release of SysTune; a package designed for real-time live sound measurements. The software acquires impulse response data with live material (and with an audience present) and displays frequency and time domain measurements in real-time. Nice!
